Reflection statement:
This assignment was simple in design: choose a topic from a presented list about which to make a blog entry. It's simplicity granted opportunity to be creative, but as this was a relatively new concept, I was more concerned with actually accomplishing the work. I had some previous experience with Weebly before this assignment, but still didn't really know what I was doing. I had no trouble researching, as that was not a new topic to me, but when it came to constructing my post, I mostly just messed around with it, slowly learning as I went. This assignment was not overwhelming as all we had to do was make a post, not make an entire blog just yet. It was overall a good introduction to Blogger and definitely a start in opening my eyes to the possibilities of using blogging for education.
Educational Standards:
"Promote and model digital etiquette and responsible social interactions related to the use of technology and information"
This standard is definitely met in this assignment. We created a post on a blog created by the professor, and in seeing each others posts, we ourselves had to understand the "digital etiquette" that we will be expecting of our future students.
